CORBY TOWN earned their seventh point in three games under Graham Drury's charge with this impressive win at Bromsgrove Rovers.
Bromsgrove were unbeaten in nine games prior to this defeat and were undone by two late goals from Steve Diggin.

He netted in the 73rd and 80 minutes to seal three valuable points for the resurgent Steelmen.

The win was made all the sweeter by the fact that Corby played for almost an hour without a recognised goalkeeper.

Martin Davies pulled his hamstring and had to leave the field. And with reserve keeper Lee Crockett also injured Ian Nimmo was forced to pull on the yellow jersey.

The visiting defence protected Nimmo well with some excellent tackles and blocks. But when he was called upon Nimmo never looked likely to concede.

There was more drama on the hour- mark when home keeper Karl Lewis raced out of his area to thwart a Diggin effort only to handle the ball and be shown the inevitable red card for handball.

Corby finally took a deserved lead when a good pass from Rob Hughes picked out Diggin and the leading scorer rounded a defender before casually rolling the ball past the substitute keeper.

This rocked the hosts and Diggin scored again just seven minutes later. Good work by Hughes and Difante saw the latter pick out Diggin and he gave the keeper no chance.

So another three points for the Steelmen and with them now catching up on the teams directly above them they have an excellent chance of soon climbing out of the bottom four.
