...Jackson profile

Justin Jonathan Jackson born in Nottingham December 10th 1974. Started playing in the Isle of Man, trials with Everton, a trainee with Bolton Wanderers 1991-94, trials with Lancaster City in April 1994 and Dundee United September 1994. Joined Scottish League Division One Ayr United July 1994, although they were relegated , his four league (1 cup) goals made him leading goal scorer in 18+9 (3 cup) apps. Started the 1995-96 season at Penrith, moved to Ilkeston Town in October 1995 who were managed by our former manager Leighton James, who recommended we sign Justin, which we did in March 1996, winning the Lancashire Challenge Trophy. The following season 14 league and 4 cup goals brought a record £30,000 transfer in January 1997 to Woking (1996-98 23+2 apps 3 goals in the Conference) and a F.A.Trophy win 1996-97. Another £30,000 transfer to Notts County in September 1997, helping Sam Allardyce become Division Three champions 1997-98, two seasons 1997-99 7+18 (5+2 cup) apps but just one league goal. Loan spells in November 1998 back to Morecambe produced six goals in 4 games and January 1999 to Rotherham United 2 apps 1 goal. Another £30,000 move to Halifax Town in February 1999, 16+1 apps 4 goals. Returning to Morecambe for a then club record £18,000 on September19th 1999 brought probably his best season, Justin could produce his best for Jim Harvey and Morecambe! 29 Conference goals during 1999-2000, brought out the cheque book from Rushden & Diamonds, who paid a non-league record transfer fee of £175,000 on June 16th 2000, and he helped them win the Conference in 2000-01 40 apps 18 goals. His stay in the Football league was brief 2001-02 5 (1 cup) apps. A £100,000 transfer to Doncaster Rovers in September 2001wasn’t a great success, although promotion to the Football League was won in 2002-03, 30+9 apps with five goals (2001-03) was a poor return, released in September 2003, trials followed at Accrington Stanley October 2003 (0+2 apps in the Conference), Chester City March 2004, Harrogate Town September 2004 and Stafford Rangers November 2004. I believe he played in Australia and was reported to be playing for Bracknell Town 2007-08 and he had one game for Bromsgrove Rovers 2007-08. There were two England semi-professional caps against Wales 1999-2001.

Joined Bromsgrove from Brackley and played one game against Hitchin Town on 05/01/2008.
