...Willmore profile

A goalkeeper who joined Rovers at the start of the 1909/10 Birmingham Combination campaign. He had previously played for Woleseley Motors.

He made his debut against Willenhall Swifts in the first game ever played at the Victoria Ground on 4 September 1909 and was first choice keeper for that season.

He joined Worcester City at the start of the 1910/11 season, playing 30 times. Later in the season
he was playing for Stoke, and oddly he returned to the Rovers for a single game against Willenhall Pickwick in April 1911.

He was back as first choice goalkeeper in November 1912 following the departure of J. Winsper to Willenhall Swifts.

He signed up for the Rovers again for the 1913/14 campaign, but was at this time based in London, so it was thought the Rovers could not pay his expenses, so it was unlikely he would play.

Stats:

1909/10: 31 appearances
1910/11: 1 appearance
1912/13: 20 appearances
TOTAL: 52 appearances
