A half-back, or forward who made his debut against Willenhall Pickwick in the Birmingham Combination on 9 January 1909.
He was also a Birmingham Works League player, with Birmingham Gas, and also appeared for Aston Villa Reserves in February 1909.
He was a regular in the forward line in the 1909/10 season, being the leading scorer. He played in the final of the Birmingham Junior Charity Shield, played at Austin Motors Ground, Northfield on 18 April 1910. Rovers won 2-0.
He signed for Halesowen Town at the start of the 1910/11 season. Although he returned for one final appearance against Willenhall Swifts in October 1910.
