Lyndon joined the Albion from school in 1966 becoming a professional in 1968. He made 125 appearances including 9 as a sub, scoring 4 goals. He represented England at schoolboy and youth levels. He signed for Peterborough in 1975 before finishing his playing career at Bromsgrove Rovers.

A cruciate knee ligament injury finished his career so he went straight into the wine business and was 25 years as Area Manager for Wine Rack. He then became a Consultant for a German Wine Company, finally retiring in 2015. Lyndon now lives in Evesham and spends his retirement walking, reading, watching all sports and consuming the odd glass of what he sold! He has 3 grandsons and a step granddaughter, married Sylvia his second wife in 2008.
