Gavin Hurren was a former Nottingham Forest trainee but he failed to make the grade there and was released in the close season of 2005.
He was a versatile player and could play in almost every position on the pitch as proved when during his time with Kidderminster he filled in wherever needed but preferred to be played in the centre of defence.
Gavin left the club at the end of the 2007-08 season after turning down a new contract and joined recently relegated Mansfield Town.
Gavin didn’t stay long at Mansfield and was released in January to join Kings Lynn. He didn’t stay there long either and after just three games for the Linnets he left to join Crawley Town for just two months.
He then moved around various other clubs ending his professional career with Solihull Moors.
