A midfielder, who could also play in defence. He was signed as an 18 year old by Bobby Hope in September 1986, after he had been released by Shrewsbury Town - surely one of Hopes finest acquisitions. He made his debut against Stourbridge in the Southern League Cup in September 1986.

He was one of the first names of the team sheet for the next 8 seasons. During this time he was part of the side who got promoted to the Conference in 1991-92 and the side who finished runners-up in their debut season in the non-league elite. He played in 4 F.A. Cup first round ties (Newport, Welling, Basingstoke, and Northampton and also in the games against Yeovil (where he scored) and Barnsley in Rovers famous run to the third round in 1993-94. He also captured two Worcester Senior Cups (1987 & 1992).

He was the first ever Bromsgrove Rovers England international when he played for the England Semi professional XI in 1993. He also went on an F.A. England semi-professional tour in the summer of 1994, and played against Finland under 21s and Norway under 21s.

He was named in the conference team of the season for 1993-94.

He left to join Conference rivals Kidderminster Harriers at the start of the 1994-95 season. His transfer fee of £17,500 was settled by F.A. tribunal. He was made captain at the Harriers by manager Graham Allner. He made 297 appearances and scored 18 goals.

He fell out of favour when Jan Molby joined as manager, and after a period of loan at Hereford United in 2001, joined Evesham United in January 2002.
