Copsewood went 1 up through PJ Gordon after 1 min 22 sec. He turned into the Sporting defenders from the edge of the box and found the net after reaching the 6 yard area.

Jon Rogers replied on 30min after a long free kick into Copsewood box was not dealt with. Curtis Jackson restored the lead running onto a through ball and firing inside the far post on 36 min. The lead was extended on 43min after Ross Wimbush was bought down by Aaron Roberts inside the box. Craig Civzelis converted from the spot Copsewood 3-1 half time.

Second half was dominated by Sporting, Copsewood unable to get out their own half. Sporting were rewarded in the 65 and 67 min Nick Martin beating Scot Furlong at his near post and Chris Conway firing home after another half clearance from the home defence. Full time 3 - 3.
