Match Report | Programme
Sporting eased their way into the quarter finals of the Worcestershire Senior Urn on Tuesday night with an extra time victory at the Victoria Ground against Bewdley Town.

Goals from Ashman and Tibbetts settled the tie after Sporting had been unable to find a way past some stout defending from Bewdley in normal time. Both goals were somewhat out of character for such a game as Ashman volleyed home from the edge of the box in the 92nd minute as Bewdley tried to clear a Tibbetts corner and on 114 minutes Tibbetts hit a spectacular shot from 25 yards on the run that left the keeper with no chance.

Bewdley started the game brightly and Sporting had keeper Bedford to thank for a great save from Savage midway through the first half. Sporting had already hit a post from a Clarke header and gradually started to dominate possession and territory.

Savage's attempt was to be Bewdley's last attempt on target although they should have scored at the beginning of extra time as a one on one left Bedford and, thankfully, the post beaten.

Sporting face an away trip to Malvern Town in the New Year but will be well satisfied with the resilience and result shown here.
