Match Report | Programme
In his programme notes manager Paul Smith urged everybody involved with Bromsgrove Sporting to keep their feet firmly on the ground after last Wednesday's comprehensive win in the FA Vase. This message will need to be repeated after notching up their best win of the season so far last Saturday.

Like Borrowash, Warwick were not a poor side but having gone in front, the Rouslers on both occasions immediately went out to consolidate their lead and put the match out of reach. Having done that and demoralised their opponents, additional goals were not difficult to come by.

Aaron Daniels attempted to make his mark as early as the second minute when he received an excellent pass from Sam Wills and shot low forcing Conal Dowling to dive and make a good save.

With little warning of what was to follow, both sides pretty well cancelled each other out for the next twenty minutes but with 27 minutes on the clock, Sam Wills was unceremoniously flattened in the Warwick box and referee Mr Hubbard had no hesitation in pointing to the spot. Will duly converted with a chip into the top right-hand corner of the net.

Sporting's second came on 35 minutes and it was Wills again but this time from open play when he spotted Dowling off his line and drove home from fifteen yards out. Craig Jones got his second of the season with a firm header off Will Tibbetts corner with just over 45 minutes gone to send the Rouslers in three up at half-time.

For two matches Aaron Daniels had been Sporting's biggest threat without getting on the scoresheet but he made amends on the 52nd minute when Wills this time became the provider and made a neat pass to the stocky striker who wasted no time in hitting hard and low under the diving Dowling for the fourth.

Warwick had probably their best chance of the match on 66 minutes when Mark Turton's shot was well-saved by Jake Bedford but Sporting were not finished and 15 minutes later substitute Danny Lennon fired home from just a few yards out for number five whilst number six came courtesy of Jozsef Jakab (also a substitute) on 86 minutes when he dummied two defenders before coolly slotting home.

Wills got his hat-trick and number seven with a couple of minutes left when he climbed well to head in at the far post after a Jakab cross. The Hungarian striker got his second and Sporting's eight with two added minutes on the clock when he just had to tap home from five yards out.

In the end a more than comfortable win for the home side. Warwick will be sore after a heavy defeat but there looked to be enough quality in their side; they will just need some motivating.

So the next game will be the FA Vase match against Thurnby Nirvana on Saturday; a much tougher encounter is expected.
