Pre-Season Friendly - Friday 30th July 2010 - 7:45 p.m. kick-off
Cradley Town 1 (0) Bromsgrove Sporting 0 (0)

Cradley Town were the hosts for this Friday evening game with a short trip across the Clent Hills for the 30 or so visiting supporters.
The home team had the better of the opening half -hour but failed to capitalise on the chances created by the their lively midfielders either shooting wide or being denied by resolute Sporting defending.
However it was the visitors who nearly got on to the score sheet on the 37th minute when Shaun Maynard's shot was saved on the line resulting in the away supporters adding their names to the call for goal mouth technology as they reckoned the shot was over the line.
After half-time, both teams moved the ball round well but Sporting's attacks were too often thwarted in the last third of the field with midfielders failing to get through regularly enough to the forwards.
Cradley's marginal superiority particularly in the middle of the park finally paid off on 76 minutes when a good pass found Sean Westley just in front of goal and he made no mistake from 15 yards.
Sporting tried hard for the equaliser with Paul Nicholls coming closest five minutes from the whistle but his shot went wide of the right-hand upright.
Overall a useful work out for Sporting against a team playing two divisions higher.
For Cradley, they have a few useful players and will be hoping for a better season next time in the West Midland Premier league after failing to record a single league win in the last campaign.
