Adders best crowd of the season but few of them will remember this encounter with any great pleasure. Bromsgrove had the chances in the first half. Some neat football by the visitors set Josh McKenzie through on goal but his attempt flew out of the ground. Bromsgrove took the lead in the 35th minute with a simple goal. Sam Wills floated a free kick into the area and Craig Jones was unmarked as he headed home. The only other incident of note was a header by Ashley Gray back to Phil Smith which missed being an own goal by inches.
Half Time: 0-1
There was a comical start to the second half. Connor Collins intercepted another Ashley Gray header and with only Phil Smith to beat shot straight at the Adders keeper. The rebound fell straight to his feet but the net gaping infront of him he vollied wildly over the bar. Bromsgrove were two up in the 72nd minute. More hesitancy in the Adders defence left Collins free on goal and this time he made no mistake rifling his low shot well wide of Phil Smith. Home fans had to wait until the 83rd minute for something to cheer about. Greg Webb did well to get to the bye line and cross to the near post where substitute Ryan Ball headed home. That proved to be the Adders one and only effort on goal and it was Bromsgrove who nearly increased their lead in the 90th minute but Kurtis Mewies made a brilliant goal line clearance.
