Bromsgrove Sporting laboured for 75 minutes before scoring against basement side Knowle Reserves but then went on to get 5 more to win 6 -1.
Half-time arrived with no goals and the second half was similar until the 76th minute as Wilkes took advantage of a defender trying to watch the ball out to come away and cross into the box for Nick Harris to score the opener.
On 79 minutes, it was 2 - 0 as Joe Brookes converted a penalty for a foul in the box. Another 3 minutes and Barnes scored with a header to make it 3 -0.
Knowle then got back into the game as Clarke converted from the spot for 3 -1 following a foul.
Sporting went straight back up the other end and for another penalty, again converted by Brookes. On 89 minutes, Sporting substitute Dylan Townsend made it 5 -1 and two minutes into injury time Odane Barnes beat keeper Knott to make the final score Bromsgrove Sporting 6 v 1 Knowle Reserves.
By a quirk of the fixtures, Sporting are away against the same opposition next Saturday in the league return.
