Match Report | Programme
Although the scoreline suggest a comfortable win, Sporting had to work hard for their three points against a useful Littleton side who will be disappointed with his result.

The away side started much brighter and playing on the slight downhill slope forced a succession of early corners. Tony Clarke had a couple of shots blocked on the goal line but there was little the Littleton defence could do on the 6th minute when Ahmed Ali chipped a neat cross from the right to the far post where Luke Edwards was waiting to head home twixt 'keeper Hadyn Whitcombe and the post.

In attempting to increase their lead, Bromsgrove launched a wave of attacks but good defending by the home back line kept the scoreline the same. Robbie Bunn made a fabulous run upfield and through the midfield with 33 minutes gone but his weak shot drifted past the post when a pass to three waiting strikers might have yielded more.

Littleton rallied as the half went on stretching the Sporting back four but they failed to find the target with Kyonn Evans having their best effort just before the interval but 'keeper Chris Jay easily gathered.

In a virtual repeat of his first half effort, Bunn made another run through the mid-field on the 55th minute but this time with more success as his rasping shot from the edge of the box went wide of Whitcombe's left arm and into the corner of the net to double the Rousler's lead.

Another good period from Littleton saw Dan Holloway and former Rousler Dan Carter force Jay into good saves and there was an audible sigh of relief on the 72nd minute when Shay Palmer got round Jack Wilson to put a cross into the box that was twice blocked on the line before Connor Perry-Hughes put the ball harmlessly out for a goal kick.

With Littleton pushing forward, Sporting took advantage to increase their lead with Chrisi Conway beating Whitcombe with a low drive on the 80th minute then Sean Brain rounded the 'keeper in a one on one three minutes later slotting home an angled drive for Sporting's fourth.

The win puts Sporting at the top of the league after two games played but as one supporter accurately observed there are another 36 games to go. Also remarkably Sporting have now scored ten times in the first three games with the goals coming from ten different players. Must be one for the record books somewhere?
