Racing Club Warwick entertained unbeaten League leaders on a rainy evening in Warwick and were clinically despatched in 15 first half minutes. Just a few days after Sportings Wembley dream ended in the FA vase semi final they professionally continued their relentless assault on the league. With a good crowd on a cold wet night some 200 bromsgrove fans swelled the crowd to 335 and as always they were a credit to their club all night. The game started evenly but neither keeper was troubled until a fantastic whipped in cross found Nicol on 26 and he guided a fantastic header home. Several minutes later and Cowley made it two when not picked up in the box to head home. A penalty was then inexplicably awarded when 2 players just caught legs with the keeper Pigott already having claimed the ball. Spink fired home for 0 3 at the break. This was a test of Racings thin squad with Reynolds, Buswell and Price all missing but a lot of grit was shown second half. Some fine stops by Pigott kept the score 0-3. Racing know what is needed in order to challenge next season and that FA place is in their hands for the remainder of this. Racing host Lichfield on Saturday In a real 6 pointer.
