Match Report | How They Saw It
A convincing win for Sporting as they get their pre-season matches under way writes Phil Baker.

As the scoreline suggests, The Rouslers dominated this match for most of the 90 minutes with a number of impressive performances especially from some of the new boys.

Playing on the artificial pitch at Coleshill, Wade Malley scored the opener on 4 minutes when he headed on a nod from a corner. Three minutes later Luke Edwards (aka "Granddad") got the second this time heading home from Chris LloydŽs corner kick.

At this point the home side gained a bit of momentum and were unlucky not to get one back when Dan Egege hit the bar from 15 yards out on the ninth minute.

Sam Wills scored number three on 15 minutes in a one-to-one with keeper James Kelly then Chris Lloyd made it four with a delightful angled drive after an neat run down the left hand side.

Just before the interval another rally by Chelmsley saw Edwards head off his own line after Adam Keeley beat Sporting keeper Reece Francis.

Manager Paul Smith made nine changes after half time and it was on 54 minutes that John Pykett made a good run down the right cooling placing his shot under substitute Žkeeper Khaleem Hulbert for number 5.

The nippy winger then made a cross to Chrisi Conway whose shot was saved by Hulbert but Conway buried the rebound.
Wade Malley scored goal seven after Liam Spink hit a poor clearance back into the box, then new striker Joe Ward made it eight with a tap-in on 65 minutes.

Chelmsley were unlucky to concede number 9 as Liam SpinkŽs hard-hit shot took a deflection but there was no argument when Conway pulled back a pass to Joe Ward who had an open goal to score on 77 minutes. Spink side-footed to Conway for his second with eight minutes to go and Spink himself got the twelfth on the stroke of 90 minutes with a 20-yard drive.

Towards the end Chelmsley were looking very tired and deflated but credit to them in keeping going. After the match Smith said "I was very happy with the performance in quite hot and humid conditions. A number of players did well and we look forward to the next game on Saturday"
