Match Report | Programme
Bromsgrove Sporting hosted Midland Football Premier Division rivals Coleshill Town last Saturday in the FA Cup Preliminary Round.

Coleshill started the brightest of the two teams and Reece Francis was called into action early on to block a fierce shot which just trickled past the post.

After ten minutes Coleshill should’ve taken the lead when they hit the post from close range.

Sporting made Town regret their miss as in the 14th minute an excellent lofted ball from Reece Hewitt switched the play and allowed Robbie Bunn make a simple ball to Liam Spink who lashed the ball into the net from the edge of the box.

Coleshill were not phased by the goal and continued to press, they got an equaliser on the 22nd minute after a delightful set-piece cross was met by former Rousler Matt Gardner who guided the ball into the net despite Francis’ best efforts.

On 37 minutes Ryan Edmunds possibly scored the goal of the season at The Victoria Ground as he half-volleyed the ball into the top left corner from 25-yards out leaving the poor Francis absolutely no chance.

Bromsgrove equalised with a peach of their own just before the break, as Jordan Jones curled in a lovely left-footed shot from the right hand side.

The Rouslers came out all guns blazing in the second half and lovely one-two between Max Loveridge and Spink allowed the home side to take the lead before moments later Wade Malley was eased off the ball just before he was about to take aim.

Unfortunately for Bromsgrove, goalscorer Jones, made an unwanted lunge in the penalty area to give away a spot kick which Dean Rathbone calmly dispatched.

Bromsgrove again found themselves behind on the 66th minute when substitute Liam Molesworth was allowed too much space in the box to blast the ball into the top corner, again giving Francis no chance.

Bromsgrove pushed the resolute Coleshill defence for an equaliser but came closest with a Chris Lloyd free-kick that was well saved by Paul Hathway.
