Match Report | How They Saw It | Programme
Bromsgrove Sporting succumbed to their fourth league defeat of the season, with a 3-2 loss away at Dunstable Town.

A first half opener for the Rouslers from Jason Cowley was cancelled out a minute later by Saul Williams, before two second half goals from Arel Amu left Sporting shell-shocked.

Bromsgrove dominated the closing stages and a Craig Jones header two minutes from normal time sparked a late push for the equaliser, but it was to ultimately prove elusive.

Sporting looked threatening in the early stages, with Cowley being the focal point of most of the attacks - a menacing ball struck across the area was quickly followed by a goal ruled out for offside.

However, his goal would soon come, 27 minutes in, as hard work from Cameron Peters allowed the Walsall-loanee to put in a pinpoint pass, leaving Cowley to wilfully tap home into an almost empty net.

Sporting's elation soon turned to dismay just 60 seconds later, as Dunstable's Williams broke the offside trap and shot home hard into the roof of the net after having his first effort blocked away.

Chances thereafter were scarce in the opening 45, with a Mike McGrath free kick that flew handsomely over the bar arguably the best opportunity for either side of going into the break leading.

The second half got off to the worst possible start for Bromsgrove, as that man Williams capped off his marauding run up the wing by teeing up Amu, who slotted his one on one past Sporting stopper Jono Brown into the net, just two minutes in.

Bromsgrove were far from out of it however, with Cowley shooting narrowly wide from 20 yards and Peters having a stinging volley saved smartly by Connor Coulson - the away team's challenge of making their way back into proceedings was made that much harder in the 71st minute, though.

This came as the dangerous Amu managed to evade the defence, take control of the ball and slot under an oncoming Brown from the edge of the box.

Sporting were still creating plenty of chances, with substitute Charlie Dowd having a fiercely struck effort tipped over for a corner and Richard Gregory seeing his effort blocked out for the same outcome.

Bromsgrove's second came 88 minutes in, as a classy Josh Quaynor free kick found the header of an unmarked Jones, who guided his effort home with deadly accuracy, as the centre back scored his second goal in as many games.

Sporting pushed hard for the leveller, with Gregory and Jones having good opportunities but it wasn't enough, as the pace of the Dunstable front three allowed their counter attacking style to work to great effect all afternoon.
