Match Report | Programme
Bromsgrove Sporting guaranteed themselves at least a second place finish in the league table with a 1-0 win over Cambridge City.
Tom Taylor's first half header was enough to not only seal all three points for the Rouslers but also a runners-up position at worst, as Corby Town succumbed to a 4-1 home defeat versus Welwyn Garden City on Saturday afternoon.

The opening stages were largely uninspiring, with the first 20 minutes seeing the only chance fall to Cambridge's Michael Davis, courtesy of a free kick, which flew narrowly over the bar.
The only goal of the afternoon came 20 minutes into the first half, as a quality Josh Quaynor corner was guided home by the head of Taylor, with deadly accuracy.

Jason Cowley had a couple of chances not long after to double the lead, but keeper Jamie Head was equal to both of them.
The visitors' came close to equalising 40 minutes in, but Adam Watkins could only shoot straight at Sporting stopper Jono Brown.
John Pykett saw his audacious effort from distance fly well wide 10 minutes into the second half, with Cambridge's best chance of the game coming 20 minutes from the finish, as Joshua Oyinsan had a golden opportunity inside the box but could only scuff the shot, the ball barely leaving his foot.
All the chances thereafter fell to Sporting, but the second goal ultimately proved elusive.

Cowley had a golden opportunity when he nabbed the ball off keeper Head, but he was tackled before being allowed to unleash on an open goal.

Moments later, some lovely team work between Cameron Peters and Nathan Hayward allowed Richard Gregory to get a shot away inside the area that was well saved by the outstretched Head in the away team's goal.

Kieren Westwood had an effort blocked away by a defender, whilst Gregory had another shot that went just wide in the final minutes of the encounter but it would be the Taylor header that would ultimately prove the difference.
