Littleton fell to their 3rd straight defeat in pre season , but can take many positives from their performance against a strong Bromsgrove Sporting from 3 levels higher. The difference In level was immediately evident as the visitors took an early lead as a rising defender headed home after just 2 minutes. Two more goals shortly followed and the Tonboys found themselves 3 down . This sparked the home side into life and they started to play some nice football in spells and were rewarded with a goal when striker Luke Rowlands calmly finished past the oncoming keeper for 3-1. The second half again saw Bromsgrove dominate the play but were being regularly thwarted by a resolute defence led by clear Man of the match Brogan Halpin The Littleton rearguard were eventually beaten again by two well worked goals by the visitors leaving the final score 5-1. A flattering scoreline in the end but many positives can be taken by managers Henderson and Hartill as their side battled bravely and also played some great football of their own . Another tough test awaits on Saturday as we host Racing Club Warwick at Five Acres for a 3pm kick off. |
