Match Report | Programme
Bromsgrove Sporting got back on the winning trail on Tuesday, with a 7-1 drubbing of local rivals Redditch United.

Will Shorrock opened the scoring after just two minutes, before a Richard Gregory penalty and a Greg Mills strike gave Sporting a 3-0 lead going into the interval.

Joshua Endall pulled one back for Redditch early in the second 45, before another Gregory penalty and a Mikey Taylor goal from close range made it 5-1 to the Rouslers midway through the half.

Goals inside the final 10 minutes by Shorrock and substitute Shaquille McDonald completed the demolition job, condemning Redditch to their 21st league defeat in a row.

The deadlock was broken two minutes in, as a long ball from Gregory found Shorrock, who beat his man before powering home low into the goal.

Redditch stopper Kieran Boucher had to be alert to smartly save efforts from Gregory and Mikey Taylor inside the first 20 minutes, while Josh Harris-James had a free kick blocked for the visitors on the 25th minute.

Soon after, Mills had an effort saved by the feet of Boucher and a Mikey Taylor shot from inside the box slithered just wide.

The second would come in the 40th minute, as Mills was brought down in the area, leading to Gregory putting the resultant spotkick into the bottom corner with aplomb.

The third was scored on the stroke of half time; Gregory played in Mills, who saw his fiercely struck shot take a touch off a defender on its way to finding the net.

There was a small glimmer of hope for Redditch in the 51st minute, as a corner by former Sporting player Tom Rankin was bundled in towards the far post by Endall.

However, any notions of a comeback were soon extinguished just after the hour mark, as Gregory placed a panenka penalty past Boucher in the 62nd minute, after Mikey Taylor was brought down, which was soon followed by the fifth, as Taylor found himself one on one with the keeper, delicately poking the ball around him.

McDonald capped a nice run with a decent shot that drew a fine save by Boucher in the 79th minute, but the scoring was far from over. Firstly, McDonald hammered home into the bottom corner, which featured cracking hold up play and a smart backheel from Mikey Taylor to set him up, before Shorrock latched onto a nice pass inside the area and dinked the ball over Boucher.
