From the Malvern Town Website:

MALVERN Town conceded five second half goals as we succumbed to a 5-0 defeat in the Worcestershire Senior Invitation Cup at Bromsgrove Sporting.
It was the home side who the brightest as Mills tested the returning Charlie Weaver within the opening five minutes, whilst Taylor also had an attempt at goal that was off target.
As we looked to get into our stride, an effort from Kyonn Evans was blocked by the ‘keeper with nine minutes on the clock before Sam Hunt dragged an effort wide.
There was an opening for Harry Clark but he failed to hit the target before he went through on goal in our next raid only to see the ‘keeper thwart him.
Moments later, Mills tried his luck at the other end, but his attempt was blocked then his free-kick was flicked just wide by Gregory after James Febery was booked for the foul.
As the opening period came to a close, Taylor headed over at the far post from a Gregory cross, but it was a half in which we acquitted ourselves very well against our higher level opponents as we went in with the scores locked at 0-0.
It didn’t take long after the restart for Gregory to find the net to give the home side the lead.
We were soon reduced to ten men when Febery picked up his second yellow card for a foul on Taylor as he looked to break through.
We refused to let our heads drop and Clark tried his luck with a strike that was blocked as the home side got men back.
With the home side looking to make their extra man advantage count, Mills was inches wide and then Dowd was off target.
On the hour-mark Weaver was forced out of the action as Chris Pinder took his place between the posts.
We fell further behind when an effort from Gregory rattled the woodwork and Taylor was on hand to turn the ball home to make it 2-0.
There was certainly plenty going on as the home side were reduced to ten men on 66 minutes when Spink picked up his second yellow card.
Pinder saved from Taylor before Nathan Chowns-Higgs was introduced into the action with 20 minutes to go.
After Chowns-Higgs had his low strike kept out by the feet of the ‘keeper, Evans saw his volley from the rebound blocked by Wilson and it allowed the home side to break as they went down the other end and Taylor rounded Pinder to slot into an empty net.
As the clock ticked down, two goals in quick succession, firstly from Shorrock and then from Mills after Shorrock turned provider made the scoreline 5-0 as we made our exit from the Worcestershire Senior Invitation Cup on a decidedly chilly December night.
