Bromsgrove Sporting's third pre-season friendly of the 2020/21 campaign resulted in a 2-2 draw at Highgate United on Tuesday evening.
Liam Spink scored the opener for Sporting two minutes in, before Highgate levelled proceedings 11 minutes from half time.
It only took 60 seconds of the second half for the Rouslers to regain the lead, courtesy of a Mikey Taylor effort, but the home side would once again draw level, scoring a penalty on the hour mark.
Bromsgrove started the game brightly and were soon in the lead, as Spink took aim from 20 yards and found the top corner with aplomb.
Mikey Taylor and Kieren Westwood were both unable to find the net with opportunities soon after and it appeared as though Highgate's evening was going to be a miserable one, as their goalkeeper was forced off through injury and replaced by an outfield player.
However, 15 minutes later, a Highgate player slipped the defence, beat the offside trap and slotted into the bottom corner past Sporting stopper Daniel Platt.
Sporting almost regained the lead in the 39th minute, as a lovely piece of skill from Josh Ezewele allowed him to cross a beautiful ball into the box, that Mikey Taylor headed over from six yards.
Taylor would soon be amongst the goals though, as he coolly beat a man and serenely curled the ball into the bottom corner, just a minute into the second half.
Sporting were unable to sustain the pressure though and Highgate equalised an hour in, as a foul inside the box was followed by a spotkick, hit confidently into the net.
Second half substitutes Josh Quaynor and Sam Collins had opportunities to bag a winner in the final 20 minutes but were unable to make the most of their respective chances.
