ROVERS suffered a drubbing at the hands of Gloucester City for the second time this season.
The Greens travelled to the Tigers' temporary home intent on avenging a 4-1 defeat suffered at the Victoria Ground in September.
But Gloucester breached the Rovers defence with just 18 minutes on the clock.
Lee Smith burst down the left and fired in a dangerous cross, which Greens skipper Gary Knight headed into his own net.
Another testing delivery from Smith lead to the Tigers doubling their lead three minutes later. He got to the by-line and this time his delivery rattled the goal frame, before dropping nicely for Jamie Read who tucked away the second goal. And things got worse for Rovers on the half an hour mark. A half-hearted clearance from Knight on the edge of his own box fell into the path of Will Moreford who curled a shot into the top corner.
The second half was a much quieter affair until the 86th minute when the home side were awarded a penalty. The lively Smith again broke free into the Rovers box and was bundled over from behind by Kevin Banner. Substitute Jody Bevan stepped up and slotted home the penalty.
Read capped a miserable night for Rovers with a minute left, hitting a firm long range effort into the corner of the net.
