Dover dominated for most of the game, but the stern Rovers back four, which included Jones back from injury, defended well and Richard Attwood was in fine form.

The visitors were resorting to the offside trap, and Dover exposed Rovers once in the first half, but Attwood made a brave clearance.
Whittingham had a good chance on the egde of the area, but he rushed his shot when he had time to control it, and shot well wide.
Rovers started the second half a little better and Hanks got off on a scorching run from the halfway line to the edge of Dover's penalty box, but he ran out of ideas and shot over and wide.
Rovers defence came under pressure for most of the second half and when Dover's Cotter was played onside again Richard Attwood dived to his left to save.
